Canyoning

Not for the fainthearted, canyoning is becoming a more and more popular sport. Canyoning is a white water ride down gorges and waterfalls. Participants run down wet slabs of rock, jump off blind escarpments, scramble up rocks and abseil down drops. You get fully kitted out before you go with helmets and wetsuits so you're well protected.
What better way to wipe the cobwebs away than by plunging off waterfalls into cold water!

There are the gorges de Mondony close to Amélie-les-Bains where those brave enough can enroll for a real adrenaline surge....

Canyoning days out (or weekends for the more adventurous) are organized by the company below in Amélie-les-Bains and depart from here as well. Tariffs start from €40 per day depending on choice of activities.
